Foreword and other contributions by

Real voices. Real visions. Real returns.
Transformed is a forthcoming book from PATA’s Creative Director, William A. Schuelein—a collection of true stories from individuals who have undergone psychedelic-assisted therapy with psilocybin, ayahuasca, ibogaine, 5-MeO-DMT, and other sacred medicines.
These are not clinical case studies or abstract research findings. These are human stories—intimate, raw, and deeply transformative.
Each chapter follows an archetypal arc:
-
The Descent — the pain, rupture, or longing that brought them to the medicine
-
The Encounter — the experience itself, often beyond words
-
The Return — the integration process and how life changed afterward
These stories are narrated in the voice of the person who lived them, guided with care by William and shaped for clarity and truth.
To deepen each narrative, we are also inviting select therapists, guides, and integration specialists to offer brief reflections at the close of each chapter—bringing in therapeutic insight, symbolic context, and emotional resonance. These commentaries are not clinical notes—they are reflections of experience, grounded in compassion and humility.

Why This Matters
This book is a lantern in the dark. A living archive of transformation. A reminder that healing is not linear, and that psychedelic-assisted therapy is not about escape—it’s about return.
